Afte retirement, Hazel ventured into the flower business, which was her passion after retirement. Hazel and George moved permanently to Sutter Creek and Hazel became very involved in this community. She was a member of the Sierra Service League, where her love of flowers and decorating was put to great use. She also was a member of the Sutter Amador Hospital Board of Trustees.
