Funeral services for Tillman Ross Dobson, 78, of Jamestown, LA will be held Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. in Rockett Funeral Home Chapel, Ringgold, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Shawn Beard and Bro. Carl Bolin. Burial will follow in Strange Cemetery, Readhimer, LA. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Rockett Funeral Home, Ringgold, LA.
Ross was born September 12, 1940 in Chestnut, LA and passed away August 5, 2019 in Shreveport, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Gladys Dobson.
Left to cherish his memories include his wife of 26 years, Margaret Dobson of Jamestown, LA; sons, Ross Andrew "Drew" Dobson of Thailand, and David Hansel Dobson and wife, Shelley of Jamestown, LA; daughter, Dawn Hankins and wife, James of Colorado Springs, CO; stepchildren, Sonya Martin and husband, Vincent of Castor, LA and William Cox and fiancé, Kim Womack of Minden, LA; special granddaughter, Dakota Martin and husband, James of Ruston, LA; mother of his children, JoAnn Dobson of Colorado Springs, CO, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Marcus Cox, Wesley Cox, David Beard, Corey Womack, Vincent Hood, and Ed Brasher.
