Robert Bell married Margaret Isabel Leach on 11 April 1867. They had eight children. R.E. Bell opened a hardware store in Weatherford which was a big operation called R.E. Bell Hardware. He had a bronze bell in front of his hardware store. After his death, the business was closed.
