Retired Dallas Police Detective William Robert Bricker of Rockwall, TX, passed away August 3, 2019, at the age of 72. He was born November 3, 1946, in Newgulf, Texas, to Edgar Lee and Nancy (Terrell) Bricker. William served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and continued his service in the Dallas Police Department, retiring as Detective. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, devoted to his family; and he leaves behind a lasting legacy of courage, honor and commitment.

William is survived by his loving wife: Connie Bricker of Rockwall, TX; son: Terry Bricker and wife Christy of Aubrey, TX; daughter: Melissa Bricker of Rowlett; grandchildren: Brenna, Parker, Cody, Kyle and Preston; and his lap buddy Monte Dog.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Tom.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, August 9, 2019, at First Rowlett United Methodist Church with Rev. Dretha Burris and Rev. Pam White officiating. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association www.heart.org or Patriot Paws www.patriotpaws.org
