INEZ NARCIE (POWERS) LAMB
SEPTEMBER 12, 1931 ~ AUGUST 4, 2019 (AGE 87)

Inez Narcie Powers Lamb, age 87, of Decatur, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 4, 2019, at Sweetwater Hospital.

A native and lifelong resident of Meigs County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Georgie Sneed Powers and was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ernest Raymond Lamb; son, Bobby Lamb; daughter, Kathy Veals; grandson, Darrell Letner; daughter-in-law, Kathy Sue King Lamb; three sons-in-law, Ted Spears, Garlen Veals, and Rickey Crowe.

She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Decatur.

She was a loving Christian wife of 58 years and a mother of 10 children. She never gave up the fight and was still a devoted mother until her last breath. She had an extended family that was there until she walked through the Gates of Heaven into the loving arms of her Master & Savior. She loved reading her Bible, gardening, quilting, but mostly giving to her family.

Survivors include four daughters: Joyce Spears and special friend, Ray Bishop, Sharon and Harvey Griffin
Cindy Crowe and special friend, Jeff Loden, Ronda and Bobby Letner

Four sons: John and Linda Lamb, Jack Lamb and special friend, Darlene Hunter, Bo Lamb, Robert Lamb.

Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Four sisters, Sue Crabtree, Ann Farmer, Millie Magyar, Lovella Redman and Max

One brother, Pete and Connie Powers

A special thanks to Sweetwater Hospital for going above and beyond to take care of our Mother and her many grandchildren. God Bless You.

A very special thank you Aunt Lovella Redman for helping and guiding us through this trying time. She was there through the hardest times and watched her big sissy leave this world of pain and walk out of that wheel chair that kept her bound.

Funeral services will be 7 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Couch officiating. Burial will be 11 am Thursday in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Grandsons will be serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
