PEKIN ~ Marjorie Tillman Mahan, 85, of 2220 State Street, passed away at 9:50 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2007 at Timbercreek Rehab and Health Care in Pekin. She was formerly of 730 East Shore Drive, Apartment 5 in Pekin.

Born January 22, 1922 in Pekin to Fred and Pearl (Ketchum) DeBoer, she married Marvin Tillman. He died September 21, 1969 in Burkburnett, Texas. She later married Sylvester L. Mahan on April 20, 1974 in Pekin. He died March 7, 1991 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and three sisters.

Surviving are one son, Steven R. Tillman of San Jose, California; one daughter, Judy K. Blake of Peoria; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Marjorie was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ and Women of the Moose Chapter 673, both in Pekin, and the East Peoria American Legion Auxiliary.

Her graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at the Green Valley Cemetery in Green Valley. The Rev. James West will officiate. Visitation will be from noon to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
