Guy Cornshucker, lived on this Earth for 32,723 days or 89 years, 7 months, and 4 days.

He passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 in Miami, OK.
He was born on December 27, 1929 in Clouds Creek, Delaware County, OK to Arch Cornshucker and Lila Snakewolf - Cornshucker.

Guy worked and retired with the BIA-Bureau of Indian Affairs as their Heavy Equipment Operator. He was their Finish Man for the roads before the machinery was invented. He would cruise the backroads and admire all the roads that he helped build with his Eagle Eyes. He could look at a road and would know what adjustments needed to be done. A very special talent and was proud of his accomplishments with the paved roads. He was the Lake Eucha Men’s Baseball and Women’s Softball Coach from the 70’s to the mid 80’s. An avid sportsman and huge fan of the Jay Bulldogs and Oklahoma Sooners. He loved reading his Bible and was a member of Tyio Baptist Church.

Guy is preceded in death by his parents, Arch and Lila Cornshucker; 2 sisters, Annie Summerfield and Lou Alene Cornshucker; son, Terry Cornshucker; 2 son-in-laws, Fred J. Miller and Gary Clinkenbeard; his special friend, Patricia Snell.

Guy is survived by two daughters, Vicki Littledave and husband Marcus and Lila Cornshucker-Miller both of Jay, OK; 4 grandchildren, Billy Clinkenbeard and wife Ariel, Leigha Clinkenbeard, Sara and Shane Littledave all of Jay, OK; 3 great-grandchildren, Mason Clinkenbeard, Logan and Jeremiah Black all of Jay, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends. Service will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 6:00pm followed by family visitation to greet friends until 8:00pm at Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346. Guy’s Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Monday, 2:00pm, August 5, 2019 at Jay First Assembly Of God, 908 N. Main St., Jay, OK with Pastor Jess Williams and Pastor Jeremiah Garcia officiating. Burial will follow to Clouds Creek Cemetery, Colcord, OK. Arrangements are under the direction, care and trust of Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346, Shaunda J.Lawson, Owner/Funeral Director and Staff.
