FORT GRATIOT - Lewis E. MacDonald, 91, of Fort Gratiot, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2005 in Port Huron Hospital after a short illness.

He was born on May 11, 1914 in Port Huron and was a lifelong resident, son of the late John and Bertha MacDonald.

Lewis is survived by his son, Douglas of Fort Gratiot; two grandsons, Scott Lewis MacDonald and Michael Douglas MacDonald. great-grandson, Wilder Douglas MacDonald; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Alton MacDonald.

Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pastor Donald Sperling of River of Life Christian Fellowship will officiate.

Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Cremation arrangements by Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th Street. Memorial tributes may be made to the Blue Water Hospice.
