Emma Dolores (Herrera) Martinez, 92, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019. She was born on March 5, 1927, in Cuba, New Mexico, the daughter of Elena (Montoya) and Merced Herrera.

Anyone who ever came in contact with her knows how vibrant, funny and full of life she was. Her stories, anecdotes, jokes and antics like her singing at the top of her lungs, like there was no tomorrow. Her favorite phrase was "I love you little, I love you big, I love you like big fat pig".

She was a woman of faith and loved her God first and foremost.

Emma was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Manuel Frutoso "Mel" Martinez; son, Philip; and daughter, Shirley.

She is survived by her four daughters: Theresa, Sharon (Gilbert), Linda (Jim), and Carmen; son, Michael; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brothers, Elizandro and Joe; and sister, Priscilla.
