Harmon Chaffee, b. March 9, 1817, Berkshire, Franklin, Vermont. d. Sept. 14, 1884, Berkshire, Franklin, Vermont. He was the son of Warren Chaffee and Sally Burelson. He married June 20, 1844, Sheldon, Vermont, Sarah Ann Stearns, b. April 29, 1827, Sheldon, Vermont. d. Jan. 25, 1897, Berkshire, Franklin, Vermont. She was the daughter of Asa Stearns and Charlotte Northrop.
"Mr. Chaffee was a farmer, and always resided in Berkshire, dying on the farm where he was born, the Warren Chaffee homestead."
