A lifelong resident of Boone County, he spent his life in Lebanon and Thorntown. He was a 1986 graduate of Lebanon High School and studied carpentry in an apprenticeship program.
Mr. Woodard married Susan E. Summers on April 6, 2005, in Panama City, Fla. Mrs. Woodard survives. He was a semi-truck driver for a number of years. For the past fourteen years, he was employed by Builders Concrete as a diesel mechanic.
Survivors include his wife and mother, who both reside in Thorntown; two sons, Matthew T. Summers of Lebanon and Trevor O. Woodard of Thorntown; four brothers, Steve (Martha) Woodard of Lebanon, Jeff Woodard of Thorntown, Rick Woodard of Lebanon and Randy (companion Rosie McBay) Woodard of New Ross; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Myrtle Cox of Thorntown; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Woodard, and a brother, Robert Charles Woodard.
Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.
