Gene was a native and lifelong resident of Wheeler County and was a farmer. He was a member of Snowhill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Essie Mae Harville of Glenwood; one son, Daniel E. Harville (Kimberly) of Cadwell; three daughters, Valerie M. Sarratori (Tony) of Niagara Falls, NY, Allison Ledford (Greg) of Glenwood, and Diana Sowell of Brunswick; one brother, Billy J. Harville of Eastman; and one sister, Helen Perdue of Jacksonville, FL. Eight grandchildren, Erica, Shiffon, Nick, Nicole, Clarissa, Ashton, Kaylee, and Paul; and six great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. Gene Harville will be held Friday, August 22nd at 2:00 PM at Snowhill Baptist Church with Reverend W.R. Connell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Glenwood Chapel Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
