His son John Heaster Jr. died before 1850 in Hominy Falls, Nicholas County, Virginia. John Jr.'s wife Malinda and their daughter Phoebe Ann Heaster were probably the two females living with John Heaster Sr. in Nicholas County, Virginia in 1840.
