Rose M. Mensching a lifelong resident of Des Plaines Funeral services for Rose M. Mensching, 84, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 855 Lee St., Des Plaines, where she will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Born March 2, 1919, in Elma, Iowa, she died Friday, April 25, 2003, in Des Plaines. Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines. Ms. Mensching was employed at Continental Bank for 42 years. She was a very active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Rose was the aunt of Linda Kroll, Charles Mensching, Diane Mamroe, Valerie Laffoon, Mark Kroll, Scott Mensching and Debra McCafferty; and great-aunt of Jennifer, Kerri, Kimberly, Matthew, Gwyneth, Thomas, Lyndsey, Garett, Ally and Amanda. Rose is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Ruth Mensching and Irene Mensching. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Melvin Mensching and Dale Mensching; and a sister, Lilah (Wilbert) Kroll. Arrangements were made by G.L. Hills Funeral Home, Des Plaines.
