POTTS, MRS. MARY ELLA, age 89, of Gardendale, Alabama, died January 2, 2002.
She was a member of Gardendale Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church and life long resident of Gardendale. She retired from Plumber and Steamfitter Union Local #91, Past Grand Marshall of the Order of the Eastern Star, Founder of the Gardendale Chamber of Commerce.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Lester Potts. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation at the funeral home will be held Thursday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 4, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at Gardendale Chapel with Rev. Carl Malone and Rev. Dave Montgomery officiating. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Ridout's Gardendale Chapel is directing.
