Services for Mary Alice Wiley, 75, Lawrence, will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Brandon Woods Retirement Community, Lawrence. Private inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.

She died Sunday, March 20, 1994, at Princeton Hospital, Orlando, Fla., where she was visiting her daughter.

She was born July 17, 1918, in Lawrence, the daughter of Will Robert and Alice Carrie Hammond Gorrill.

She graduated from Lawrence's Liberty Memorial High School in 1935.

She received a bachelor's degree in home economics from Kansas University in 1941. A homemaker, she was a member of the Kaw Valley Quilters Guild, Merry Matrons, Crazy Quilters and the Neighborhood Coffee Group.

She married Odell V. Wiley on Sept. 4, 1938, in Lawrence. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Michael Wiley, Seattle; two daughters, Barbara Wiley, Orlando, Fla., and Martyn "Marty" Umholtz, Detroit; and three grandchildren.
