Daughter of James Henry Shearer and Eva Jane Corbin. Eva was born about 1841 and died in Adair County on Jun 7, 1878. Her father next married Elizabeth (Warriner) Miller Higginbotham and is thought to have to have died in Fannin County, Teas. He was there on the 1900 census report and was the son of William Shearer and Martha Hadley. Elizabeth is also thought to have died there. Martha's mother is an unknown burial place.

Children:

Florence Jane Coffey Kearnes 1887 to 1951, married Levi Moore Kearnes, buried in Kerns Cemetery.

Eller Mae Coffey 1889 to 1924, married Claudius Loy, buried in Dixon Cemetery.
