Obituary for Floyd Emery

Floyd E. Mignot, age 81 of Wellsville, KS passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019 at his home with family by his side.

Floyd Emery Mignot was born May 1, 1938 in Wellsville, Kansas the son Emery John and Ethel Mae (Sumner) Mignot.

He grew up in Wellsville and graduated from WHS in 1956. Floyd was a farmer most of his life on the family farm but was also a home builder in his younger years, helping to build several houses in the Wellsville area.

Floyd is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Pam Mignot of Wellsville, KS; daughter Cindy Mignot of Greeley, KS; his companion, Linda Garber of Richmond, Kansas; sister, Clarice Mclaughlin of Garnett, KS; sister, Pauline Henery of Ottawa, KS; brother, Robert Mignot of Vassar, KS; brother, Arthur Mignot of Baldwin City, KS; 8 grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Beth Mignot, and a sister, Dorothy Seyler.

A memorial visitation will be held 4-6PM, Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Wellsville, KS.

Graveside inurnment of cremains will be 10AM, Monday, July 29, 2019 at the Wellsville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin County Cancer Foundation in care of Wilson’s, PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wilson Funeral Home, Wellsville.
