Isaiah was born October 19, 1828 in Barnesville, Robeson County, NC. He was the son of William Walters Jr and Absella Spear Pittman. He died between 1852 and 1857.

They had three children Delia F Walters born 1850, Sophronia Walters born 1851 and Absala Walters born 1852.

After Isaiah died Myrtilla married Andrew Jackson Blount and moved to Hope Mills, Cumberland County, NC
