Curtis, a resident of Modoc County since 1946, died November 7, 1984 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He was born May 10, 1918 in Spencer, Iowa. He was married September 25, 1942 to Gertrude Faye Curtis in Montevidio, Minnesota.

Curtis spent 19 years as a postal worker. He was a member of the local senior center here. He was a Sergeant in the US Army in World War II. He was discharged October 6, 1945. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ.

Curtis is survived by his wife Fay; two daughters; two sons; sisters Verna Potter, Dorothy Harbour, Adelaide Hegnaver, and Inez Tallard; and nine grandchildren.

Interment was in the Alturas Cemetery and the Rev. Lester Brittell officiated.
