Several people have been calling this family the "Knob Creek" Millers. Now with further research they should be called the "Horse Creek" Millers who lived near Michael Broyles in Horse Creek , Tennessee.
It now appears that there could have been at least 3 Peter Miller Families in the surrounding Tennessee area including a Peter Miller who was a "Dunkard" or Baptist elder who belonged to the Brethren Church, Knob Creek, Washington County, Tennessee.
There is a Peter Miller who married Elizabeth Bohn as described in the book DESCENDANTS OF JOHANN DIEL BOHN OF MARYLAND. c.1947. The book separates two Peter Millers. One who lived at the headwaters of Knob Creek and a Dunkard who lived further downstream.
This memorial is for a third Peter Miller who wrote his will in 1801. It was filed in 1809 with his family being listed as his wife Mary (Broyles), Jacob, Mary Painter, Elizabeth (William Skiles), Barbara (Henry Miller), and Margaret "Peggy" (Ephraim Laney). His birth and death dates are only approximate. There are so few records showing who this Peter Miller was. I am removing this Peter "Horse Creek" Miller from the Knob Creek Church of the Brethren because that right should be for the Dunkard Peter Miller.
