Funeral services were held March 7, 1974 at 2 p.m. in the Campbell Funeral Home Chapel for Fannie Rose Allen, 80. Rev. John Nay, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiated.
Mrs. Allen died March 6 in Shady Oaks Rest Home in Abilene. She was a resident of Dickens County from 1909 until 1969 when she moved to Abilene. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1969.

Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Minnie Cox, Brawley, California and Mrs. C.P. Allen, Jacksboro; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers included Roy Hodges, Jess Hobson, Donald Dopson, Cecil Caplinger, Bruce Tyler and L.D. Allen. Burial was in Spur Cemetery.
