Lori attended Clinton Massie High School and ultimately graduated in Florida. She received an Associate Degree in Business Administration while living in California. She retired from FACS Group (Voice of America) in Mason after nearly 20 years of service. She was a member of Fellowship of Praise Church in Clarksville and a former member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Harveysburg.
Generous, strong-willed, kind, loving, supportive, independent, and quick-witted, Lori had an adventurous spirit and was always looking for an untraveled road. She was an avid reader, especially science fiction and literature. She also greatly enjoyed bird watching, gardening, adventure travels, the fall season, cooking for others, and collecting salt and pepper shakers and creamers. She had a great command with words and will be especially remembered for the saying she often ended her conversations with, “and Bob’s your uncle.”
She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Sue Ann Carman and her brother James Carman. She is survived by her daughter Aisha Monem Draznik (husband Gordon Draznik); son Joshua Carman (wife Elizabeth); six grandchildren Gavin, Thomas, Gabriel, Jonathon, Paris, and Ashton; great granddaughter Mikayla; sister Cheryl Brothers; brothers Jon Carman (wife Connie) and David Carman (wife Teresa); step father Eddie Combs; and several loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held 1 PM Mon. July 22 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin.
