The family moved to Ruskin, Nebraska, when Agnes was 4 years old. She attended school in Ruskin and graduated from Ruskin High School.
On December 20, 1923, at Belleville, Kansas, she was united in marriage to Tony Henriksen. To this union three daughters were born.
Agnes and Tony moved to Nelson in 1926 where they raised and cared for their family. She was a member of the Nelson Community United Church of Christ and the Rebekah Lodge and Friendly Neighborhood Club.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Tony; five brothers, Jonce, Jake, Glen, Floyd and Will Magee; and four sisters, Katherine Jasperson, Mawd Fallis, Esther Garlick and She (sic) McCan.
Survivors include three daughters, Mercedes Zikmund and her husband Floyd of Grand Island, Donna Saylor and her husband William of Lincoln and Wanda Samuelson and her husband Emrys of Salida, CO; seven grandchildren, Timothy Zikmund, Kristy Fiche, Kathy Heidtbrink, Gregory Saylor, Amy Samuelson, Ty Samuelson and Jean Dryden; 11 great grandchildren, Zachary and Ashley Zikmund, Troy and Dustin Ficke, Lisa and Anthony Heidtbrink, Jessica and Kayla Saylor, Adam and Ty James Samuelson and James Dryden; three sisters-in-law, Elna Ramus of Castro Valley, CA, Cena Kemink of Grand Island and Maxine Smith of Ludington, MI; and three brothers-in-law, Dale Henriksen of Cheyenne, WY, Donald Henriksen of Ludington, MI, and Edward Henriksen of Grand Rapids, MI.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 25, 1992, at 2 p.m. from the Nelson Community United Church of Christ with Rev. Royce Buchtel officiating. Casketbearers were Ronald Porter, Lawrence Williams, Bill Morehead, Ward Chapman, Earl Adamson and Donald Hansen. Honorary pallbearers were Gerald Whiteley, Howard Good, Ralph Meyer and Glenn Oltmans. Dot Ferebee was organist. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson was in charge of the arrangements.
