Nannie Millie Devenport, 90, died Tuesday, May 26.

Services were Saturday, May 30, in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Sweeton of Comanche officiating. Burial was in Murphree Cemetery at Evant.

Mrs. Devenport was born Sept. 15, 1907, in Evant, the daughter of John Riley and Elizabeth Francis Sims Cowan. She was a lifetime resident of the Evant and Hamilton areas. She worked at the Hamilton Livestock Commission café for many years. She was a member of Park Heights Church of Christ. She was married to John S. Devenport on April 11, 1944, in Meridian. He preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1983. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include three stepchildren, Laphane Brumbalow of Jonesboro, Jim Devenport of Booker and Patsy Branham of Malta, Ohio; 10 stepgrandchildren; and a number of step-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were C.O. Jones, Bruce Jones, Clifford Toungate, Gene Toungate, Aubrey Hammer and Mark Bible.
