In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Richard Wayne “Dick” Wright; daughters, Scherry Lynn Durham and Rae Jean Parks; and brothers, Arthur (Vernoca) Wysong and Howard (Jenny) Wysong.
She is survived by her sons, Richard “Rick” (Linnea) Wright and Rex Wright; daughter, Regina Wright; sons-in-law, John Durham and Jeff Parks; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces.
Doris was a graduate of Dixie High School, Class of 1942. She enjoyed spending time crocheting and sewing, ceramics, and playing bingo.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 22 from 11AM to 1PM at ROBERT L. CROOKS FUNERAL CENTER, 3377 US Route 35 East, West Alexandria. The funeral service will begin at 1PM with burial to follow at Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria.
