Jack L. Rudder, 80, of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 5, with his daughters at his side. Jack was born November 22, 1932, in Ballinger, Texas, to L.B. and Ethel Rudder. After his graduation from Ballinger High School, he joined the Navy, where he served on the USS Whitehurst during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge, he moved to the Brazosport area, where he was employed by Dow Chemical. Jack married Mary Lou Hammock in 1956, and they made their permanent home in Lake Jackson, Texas.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one brother, his wife, and two grandsons. He is survived by his daughters and their spouses, Jacque and Tim Tobin of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Mary and Glenn Goe of Richwood, Texas. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Jay Wagner and his wife Michelle, Bailey Tobin, Delaney Tobin, and Cameron Goe.

Services for Jack will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013, at Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Lake Jackson, Texas. Visitation will begin at 1:00, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 with Pastor David Wilson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that remembrances be made to the SPCA of Brazoria County, 141 Canna Lane, Lake Jackson, Texas, (979) 285-2340.
