Mary Alice Winteregg Conrad Newell, 86, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at her home in Fort Wayne. Born October 7, 1920 in Berne, she was a homemaker. She loved playing cards at the Senior Center in Fort Wayne, cruises and her cha-ching machines.
Survivors include sons, Nicholas D. (Joy) Conrad of Fort Wayne, and Hugh A. (Kathy) Conrad of Decatur; sister, Winnie Baker of Waterloo; grandchildren, Chad (Missy), Scott (Jen), Paula, Tony (Lori), Andy and Ben Conrad; 4 great-grandchildren; and best friends, Bill Schible & Rachelle Hammond. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Lloyd W. Conrad & John W. Newell; and granddaughter, Melissa Conrad.
