Blackwelder, Julian L., 53, of 2542 34th Ave. N. died suddenly Saturday. He was born in St. Petersburg and had been a supervisor of St. Petersburg Transit Company. He was a member of Allendale Methodist Church and the board of trustees of the church; Allendale Methodist Men’s Club. Survived by his wife, Laura; two daughters, Janice and Joyce, St. Petersburg; a son, Steven, St. Petersburg; a brother, Martin, St. Petersburg; five sisters, Mrs. Reba Pancoast, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Martha Hopson, Lufkin, Tex.; Mrs. Faye Bierbower, Mrs. Retha Crosby; Mrs. Marjorie Footlick, all of St. Petersburg. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Sunday at the Bobbitt Funeral Chapel, 4430 64th St. N. where services will be held Wednesday, 2 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Neal officiating. Interment in Memorial Park.
