Joseph F. Tye, 80, 1011 W. 21st., died early Monday at a Kearney hospital. He was the father of Joseph C. Tye of Kearney. Mr. Tye, born at Griswold, Ia., had been a lumber and coal dealer there for many years. Since his retirement five years ago, he had made his home in Kearney. His wife, Etta, died in February, 1953. Survivors are his son, and three grandsons, Joseph N. of Seibert, Colo., James S. and Thomas W, both of Kearney. The body will be returned to Griswold, Ia., for funeral services and burial.
