Wm J. Copeland was married to my second gr. grandfather's sister, Melissa C. Cox of Phelps County, Missouri. Her first husband, W. T. Anderson died in 1863 during the Civil War. Their two boys stayed in close contact with their mother's family the remainder of their lives in the 1940's. Wm. Jasper was Melissa's husband when she died 1840-1877. She is buried in Wishon Cemetery in St. James, Missouri.
