Bloomington Pantagraph Obit - Nov. 11, 1898
Mrs. Christina Fisk died Nov. 5 after a prolonged illness from heart disease and dropsy. She was born in Fayette Co. Ohio. She married James Fisk in 1833 and they came to Illinois in about the first year of their married life. In 1835, they moved to Chicago, when that place was but a trading post and Indians the principal inhabitants. After a year there they removed again to Lexington, Illinois.
Mrs. Fisk belonged to the U. B. church for 50 years or over and was a faithful Christian woman.
Two daughters are left to mourn her death - Mrs. L. A. Stevens of this city and Mrs. J. G. Allen of Princeton.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the residence of Mrs. Stevens, Rev. Myer officiating and the remains were buried at Lexington Cemetery.
