Mr. Alexander was born in Champaign on March 2, 1953, a son of Horace and Joan V. (Hassell) Alexander.
Before his retirement, he was employed by the Holiday Inn in Urbana as a cook and a member of the custodial staff. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Philo Road Church of Christ in Urbana.
Kerry leaves cherishing his memory: sisters, Marcia K. Payne (Leroy, dec.) of Champaign, Sheila Henley (Phil) of Phoenix, AZ, LaTanya Alexander, Chicago; and one brother, Eardis Alexander (Lisa), Urbana.
He was preceded in death by son, Kerry Jr., mother, Joan Alexander and one brother, Brian Alexander.
