Hello, Jimmy, we were playmates when your parents operated the old Sunny South Cafe and Motel across from what would soon be Weber Chevrolet Company in Indianola. You and your family lived in one of the cabins behind the main building. It was near the intersection of Highways 49 and 82, close to the old Greyhound Bus Station. There were just orchards between the Sunny South and the bayou, and we practically lived off of peaches, pears, plums and whatever. My family and I lived in the old H.B. Gates house down that little road that led to the bayou, and the only other house I remember was the V.A. Johnson place.
A German P.O.W. camp was later established just west of your location on Highway 82, back towards town.
