Patent trader - Thursday, June 17, 1965: - NEW YORK - James J. McNulty died Tuesday apparently stricken with a heart attack while on his way home. He was 72. Mr. McNulty of 28 Morningside Road, Ocean City, N.J. was born in Somers on January 28, 1893. He was for many years a station agent at Purdy's and later at Lincolndale. He was also a justice of the peace and a councilman in Somers. Mr. McNulty was on the first Somers board of education and is credited wIth doing much to make it an effective organization. He leaves his wife, May Griffin McNulty; one daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Wallis Allace of Oneonta; three sisters, Mrs. Clarence Miller of Somers, Margaret and Mary McNulty of White Plains; and four grandchildren. A requiem mass will be said at St. Joseph's Church in Croton Falls on Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Somers. Friends may visit on Thursday and Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Katonah.
