Sarah was a daughter of John Bedell and Nancy Enyart.
She married September 5, 1833, in Union County, Indiana, to Jacob Yaryan.
Sarah Yaryan was listed as age 93 in the 1895 Iowa census in Ottumwa, Iowa.

AGED WOMAN DEAD
MRS. YARYAN, ONE OF THE EARLIEST RESIDENTS OF THE COUNTY, PASSES AWAY.
Was Nearly 91 Years of Age and Resided in Wapello County for Fifty-Six Years – Was Confined to Her Bed for Only One Day.
Mrs. Sarah Yaryan, one of the oldest residents of Wapello county, died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. N.O. Hill, east of the city, Monday night at 11:55 o’clock, at the age of 90 years. Mrs. Yaryan had been failing for several months but was confined to her bed only one day preceding her death.
Mrs. Yaryan is survived by one daughter and four sons: Mrs. N.O. Hill, Ottumwa; James Yaryan, Carl Junction, Mo.; George Yaryan, Carroll, Neb.; Will Yaryan, Clearfield, Iowa, and Fred Yaryan, whose address is not known. She is also survived by three grandsons, Andrew Hill, street commissioner, and Harry and Eli Hill.
An Early Settler.
Mrs. Yaryan was born April 18, 1813, in Warren county, Ohio, and at the time of her death was nearly 91 years of age. She was married to Jacob Yaryan, September 5, 1833. In 1846 they moved to Wapello county, where they resided until 1865, when they went to Ringgold county. Mr. Yaryan died in 1867, and Mrs. Yaryan returned to Ottumwa and for the past ten years has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. N.O. Hill.
Funeral Services.
The funeral services will be conducted from the residence Wednesday at an hour to be determined upon later. Rev. Hormel will have charge of the services. The remains will be taken to Clearfield, Iowa, for interment.
