Mrs. Waltrt Gearhart
Mrs. Walter Gearhart, 46, of 1416 Virginia St., died at 1:15 a.m. Wednesdsay at Schoitz Memorial Hospital of carcinoma.
Fher former Hazel Burch was born Jan. 28, 1907 in Delaware County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Burch. She had lived most of her life in Delaware County, coming to Waterloo 12 years ago. She was married in 1923 to Clyde Ayers in Delaware County. The couple was divorced. She was married to Walter Gearhart in Waterloo four years ago.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Spates, 1416 Virginia St., and Mrs. William Jenkins, Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren; one brother, Clint Burch, Huntington Beach, Cal.; and four sisters, Mrs. Harry Ayers and Mrs. Paul Jodison, both of Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Jack Reiger, Central City, and Mrs. Dude Miller, Ida Grove. Her parents and one daughter preceded her in death.
Funeral arrangments are pending at O'Keefe and Towne Funeral Home.

Hazel Burch Gearhart, 46, Cedar Rapids and Delaware County resident, died Wednesday at Waterloo. She was born in Delaware County Jan. 28, 1907.
Suviving are her husband, Walter Gearhart; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Spates of Waterloo and Mrs. William Jenkins of 1127 Third Street SW, and four grandchildren.
Services will be conducted in the Methodist Church at Manchester at 11 a.m. Saturday.
