His full name is John Quincy Adams Alexander. Quincy is a son of Randolph Alexander and Nyrza Nix Alexander. He came to Utah as a young boy. Quincy married Esther Amelia Russell on November 8, 1862 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They started their marriage in Washington County in southern Utah. Then they moved to Summit County where they were in and around Kamas for several years.
Quincy died in Vernal, Utah of pneumonia.
