Mr. David Steve Brady, age 72, of Lake City, FL passed away Tuesday, March 27, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Brady was born in Lake City and lived in Lake City, FL all of his life. He was the owner of Brady Trucking, which served the timber industry for over 35 years, until his retirement in 2010. He loved hunting, fishing and his family. He was preceded in death by his son, David Steve Brady, Jr., his parents, Leo Frank and Lueavie Dunaway Brady, Sr., two brothers, James and Edward Brady. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elaine Brady of Lake City, FL: one daughter, Shela Brady of Lake City, FL: two sisters, Carolyn (Anthony) Ward and Emma Rye both of Lake City, FL: one brother, Leo Frank (Sue) Brady, Jr. of Lake City, FL: Four grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Brady will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday, March 31 in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Ogburn, Pastor of Watertown Congregational Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Williams Cemetery, Lake City, FL. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 5 to 7 P.M. Friday, March 30 at Guerry Funeral Home, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd, Lake City, FL.
