Dolores M. Albert, 82, of Yates Center, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday evening, July 10, 2019, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

She leaves her children, Dwayne Albert (Julie) of Yates Center, Audine Stuhlsatz (Dennis) of Wichita, Beverly Dillon (Bill) of Independence, KS, Diana Jones (Dick) of Yates Center, and Carolyn Steinforth (Jerry) of Yates Center; 14 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one on the way; two brothers, LeRoy and Eugene Heimerman of Garden Plain, KS; a sister, Darlene Yost of Wichita; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.

A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 15, 2019, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at St. Martin’s Oratory in Piqua. Burial will follow services in St. Martin’s Catholic Cemetery.

The family will meet with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center.

Dolores M. Albert, 82, of Yates Center, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday evening, July 10, 2019, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

Dolores was born June 1, 1937, in Colwich, Kansas, the daughter of Leo and Mary (Puetz) Heimerman. She graduated from Andale High School.

On December 10, 1954, she and Reinhard J. Albert were married at Fort Leonard, Missouri. They made their home in the Piqua, Kansas area for 37 years until moving to Yates Center in 1999.

Dolores was the typical farm wife, cooking meals for her family and many others. You never passed up her fried chicken. She helped in the fields and when necessary, worked outside the farm using her talents as an excellent seamstress and florist. She shared her love of cooking at various restaurants and most recently in food service at the school.

She was a member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Piqua and later St. Joseph Catholic Church in Yates Center. She was a member of the Altar Society and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Her husband, Reinhard, preceded her in death on August 27, 2009. She was also preceded by two infant daughters, Karen and Kathlene, and a brother, Donald Heimerman.
