Suggested edit: Hello, His mother's info in his bio is incorrect. Her name is Nancy E "Nannie" Miller. She was Nannie Jackson when she married William as she had been previously married. Hope this helps!

Suggested edit: Just a quick follow-up on Stephen's mother Nancy "Nannie" Miller:

She first married Claiborne Fox Jackson Jr (son of MO Gov. Claib Jackson Sr #11996 and third wife Eliza Sappington #11997) on 28 Feb 1861 in Pettis Co., MO. They had one son, Harry Claiborne Fox Jackson, born about 2 years before Claib Jr's 1864 death in Laredo, TX. I'm fairly certain the Jackson, Sappington, Marmaduke, and/or Price MSS held by the MO state archives would have additional details about Claib Jr, Nancy, and Harry.

Nancy then married Capt James Marmaduke Price (a first cousin by marriage [her mother-in-laws are Sappington sisters]) on 26 Dec 1867 in Arrow Rock, MO and had at least 2 children, Stephen linked on FAG and Adele (1872, Arrow Rock MO - 1913, Paris KY) before passing away at home (30 Benton Place, St Louis MO) on her 14th wedding anniversary.

Both of Nancy's husbands come from influential, famous (and infamous) families of politicians, medical doctors, military men, etc who settled MO. It would be exceedingly interesting to discover who her ancestors are to see if Claib Jr's marriage was arranged by his father to advance the family's status ad fortune or if he married independently.

The last I've found of Claib Jr and Nancy's son Harry is in 1882 working as a clerk for his step-father in St Louis.
