She was born on the family homestead in Oliver Co. Center ND.to Johan Agaton and Anna (Isakson)Larson she was raised in Mandan where she attended school then on to Valley City State College where she recieved her teaching degree. She married Gabriel Eckroth Nov. 28,1935 she continued her education at Dickinson State Teachers College in 1963 and her Masters degree at the University of ND in 1968 She taught in Morton County rural school,at Parochial school in Mandan and many years teaching at St Mary's grade school in Bismark. Sheretired from Flasher public school in 1980. Gabriel died Dec.25th 2002.
survived by her two daughters Ruth(Orlin)Hartman of Ellendale,ND Margaret(Henry)Lebak of Bismark,ND.; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Shewas preceded in death by two daughters: Sister Mary Alice (Charollet),Jean; five brothers Harold,Arthur, Warren, Henry and an infant brother, and three sisters Marie, Estherand Eva.
