William V. “Bill” Holland, 71, of Mooresville, passed away on July 8, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Born on July 16, 1947 in Lebanon, he was the son of the late William and Nina (Belcher) Holland. On June 10, 1981, he was united in marriage to Judy Davis; she preceded him in death on June 9, 2018.

Bill proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War where he was wounded and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. Following his career in the Army, he was a plant manager at Mechanics Laundry for 24 years and then worked in maintenance at Arbonne for 10 years.

Bill loved mowing his yard, his neighbor’s yards, and many family member’s yards; he was also known to be quite particular about it. He also enjoyed camping, hunting, woodworking, bird watching, watching The Curse of Oak Island, and being with his family. Bill is going to be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

Survivors include three children; three stepchildren; 13 grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one sister.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
