RUBY JUANITA BEARD, 79, of Rush Springs, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2007, in Chickasha.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Rush Springs Cemetery, with Rev. Elmer Whitehead and Drew Beard officiating. Services are under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Chapel in Rush Springs.
Ruby was born November 28, 1927 in Chickasha, to William Calvin and Amy Elizabeth Martin Randolph. She graduated high school from Acme. She lived in Rush Springs most of her life.
Ruby married Ralph Finley Beard on May 29, 1945 in Chickasha. He preceded her in death on June 28, 1984.
Ruby enjoyed shopping, going to Sonic, and collecting Hot Wheels. Her expertise was cooking, and she provided her grandchildren with her famious no-bake cookies. She liked to go bowling and dancing. Ruby was an active member of the Southern Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Lionel Beard of Sulphur, Terry Beard and wife Kathy, and Ralph Beard and wife Mayme, all of Rush Springs; a daughter, Renee Jones and husband Steve of Rush Springs; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two granddaughters, Holly Kalyn Beard and Jennie Marie Beard; and four sisters, Opal Meade, Dorothy Davidson, Wanda Adams, and Mildred Ivy.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kyle Jones, Jerome Jones, Tim Beard, Blake Beard, Jeremy Beard, Country Beard and Drew Beard.
