He is person 5-11-52 on page 271 and 348. "The Henckel Genealogy 1500-1960 Ancestry & Descendents of Rev. Anthony Jacob Henckel" by Junkin.
"Josiah Henkle migrated with his parents in 1829 to Fayette County, Ohio and the following year (1830) to Vermilion County, Illinois where they settled on the Vermilion River near Danville.
Josiah Henkle appears in Federal Census of 1830 (single with parents) and in 1840 (with first wife and three daughters) in Vermilion County, Illinois. He later appears in 1850 Census in Lee County, Iowa with second wife and four children.
Note: It is apparent that Joshia Henkle whose wife died in Lee County, Iowa in 1838 returned either prior to or after his second marriage to Vermilion County, Illinois where he was in the 1840 Federal Census. He evidently returned to Lee County, Iowa prior to 1850."

Son of Abraham Henkle & Mary Harper, Married 1st October 25, 1832 to Susanna Davison(1814-1838). They had 3 children: Mrs. Sarah Jane Hoover, Mrs. Mary Wilson and Mrs. Elizabeth Mix. Married 2nd to Theoda Clarinda Ticknor. They had They had 6 children: Henry H., Angeline, Mrs. Laetitia Elzina Green, Josiah, Abraham B. and Virginia E. Henkle.
