Ellis -- Eleanor Roberts, 71, Ellis, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 1998, at the Ellis Good Samaritan Center. Mrs. Roberts was born Eleanor Lang on Feb. 2, 1927, in Trego County, and was a resident of Ellis most of her life.
She was a beauty operator; a cook and housemother for Alpha Gamma Delta; and worked for the Ellis Railroad Museum. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Ellis.
Her husband, Harold, died in 1982.
Survivors include three sons, Stephen of Hacienda Heights, Calif., Darrell of Castle Rock, Colo., and Timothy of Denver; two daughters, Joyce A. Bickel of Arvada, Colo., and Diana Dewees of Elko, Nev.; three sisters, Elizabeth Younker, Kathryn Ptaschek and Josephine Ptaschek, all of Ellis; nine grandchildren; and a great- grandchild.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Christ Lutheran Church, Ellis, Pastor Lyle M. Knuth officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Ellis. Memorials may be made to Ellis County Homehealth and Hospice. Wasinger Funeral Chapel, 400 E. 17th St., Ellis 67637, is handling arrangements.
