Mrs. Elie Bernard

Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. today (April 22, 1969) in St. Peter's Catholic Church for Mrs. Elie B. Bernard, 86 the former Ida Breaux, who died at 10:45 a.m. yesterday (April 21, 1969) at her daughter's home in Youngsville.
Services were conducted by The Rev. Andre Rex Broussard of Gueydan and the Rev. Overton Breaux, Jr. of Rayne.
Entombment will be in St Peter's Mausoleum.
Mrs. Bernard is survived by one son, Isom Bernard of Vinton; three daughters, Miss Ethel Bernard and Mrs. Rose B. Savoie, both of Youngsvile and Mrs. Blanche B. High of Port Arthur, Texas; one brother, Elie B. Breaux of Breaux Bridge; 10 grand children and 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was a member of the St. Ann Society, Bonne Mort Society and Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 9210.
Pallbearers were Isom Bernard, Roland Bernard, Earl Bernard, Ivan Savoie, George D. High and Clay Bernard.
Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro was in charge of arrangements.
