Dale C. Stake, 89, of Loudonville, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family, early Friday morning, July 5, 2019 in his home. Dale was born September 26, 1929 in Loudonville, the son of the late Glenn and Ada Pearl (Tugend) Stake. Dale was a life resident of Loudonville graduating in 1947 from Loudonville High School. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War serving on the destroyer USS Buck. Dale was a 30-year tool grinder at Borg Warner/Rexroth/ Bosch in Wooster, retiring in 1987. He had previously worked at The Flxible Company. He was an active 51-year member, past President, Melvin Jones Fellow, and was the 2016 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award of the Loudonville Lions Club. He was a member, past Sunday School Superintendent, and council member of Zion Lutheran Church. Dale was also a member of UAW Local #1239, American Legion Post #257 and Loudonville Eagles Club. On June 28, 1952 he married June E. Schaffer and she died March 10, 1965.

Dale is survived by his three daughters: Beverly A. Stake of Loudonville, Christine L. (Joe) Bowman of Perrysville, and Penny E. (Steve) Patterson of Killbuck; one son: Thomas E. (Jeannie) Stake of Loudonville; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his son Michael Stake, and two brothers, George and Robert Stake.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 11:00am in Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Scott Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Loudonville Cemetery.
