Longtime Naubinway resident, Mary Lou Hanson, 90, died Tuesday evening July 2, 2019 at McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey. Mary Lou was born May 16, 1929 in Newberry, daughter of the late Mack and Mary (Goudreau) Alexander. 
Mary Lou was united in marriage on May 29, 1948 in Trout Lake to William W. Hanson who preceded her in death on January 5, 2013. Also preceding in death is her son Robert, three brothers and two sisters. 
Survivors include her children David (Shari) Hanson of Naubinway and Anne (Robert) Becker of Traverse City; grandchildren Ryan Hanson, Chris Becker, Connor Becker and Derek Becker; sisters Betty Smith of Rexton and Irene (Warren) Bailey of Canadian Lakes. 
Friends may call at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Naubinway on Monday July 8, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am at the church with Fr. Frank Ricca officiating. Rite of Committal will take place at Epoufette Cemetery.
