Mrs. Beatrice Allen Irvine, age 81, of 355 Bowdon St., Tallapoosa, GA, passed away February 6, 2009. She was born in Haralson Co., March 12, 1927, daughter of the late L. Pink Allen and Oma Pope Allen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Irvine; baby, John Marshall; and her sister, Elizabeth Allen Abney. She was a member of Steadman Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters Theresa Irvine McAnally, of Duluth, Patricia Irvine Lindsey, of Hapeville; son, Henry L. Irvine, Jr., of Tallapoosa; and her sister, Pinky Allen Gilbert, of Smyrna. Funeral services were held, February 8, 2009 at 2:00 PM from Steadman Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Robinson officiating. In state music was provided by Zane Saxon and Sandra Walker. The service music was provided by the church choir under the direction of June Walker. Pallbearers serving were Ronnie Lindsey, Stephen Walker, Jodee Pike, Billy Wilkerson and Terry White. Interment followed in Steadman Church Cemetery.
